Start with the correct post link

Open the video itself, then use TikTok’s Share menu and Copy link option. Avoid copying a search page, a profile address, or the text of a message containing several links.

SaveMyTok accepts HTTPS links on TikTok’s standard website and the vm.tiktok.com and vt.tiktok.com share domains. Shortened links still need to lead to a supported public TikTok post.

Download the video using a desktop browser

Keep the TikTok tab open so you can verify that you copied the intended post. In another tab, use the Video Downloader. A result can contain more than one source, so read its label before choosing.

  1. Copy the public post URL from TikTok.
  2. Open SaveMyTok’s Video Downloader and paste the URL.
  3. Select Download Video and wait for processing.
  4. Choose an available format and save it using the browser’s controls.
  5. Open your browser’s downloads list to locate the saved file.

Use an Android or iPhone browser

On a phone, copy the share link in TikTok and switch to your browser. If the Paste button cannot access the clipboard, press and hold in the URL field and paste manually.

A media link can open a player tab instead of starting a download. Look for the browser’s available Save or Download action. On iPhone, completed file downloads can appear in the Files app rather than Photos.

Choose a format the source actually provides

MP4 may be returned for a video, but the service does not promise a fixed format or resolution. Two options can have similar labels while using different encodings or delivery sources.

SaveMyTok does not upscale video or erase watermarks. An unknown watermark status should be treated as unknown. Audio sources are separate from video formats and are not automatically converted into MP3.

ResultMeaning
Video quality labelInformation reported for that source, when available
No quality labelQuality is not reported; it is not automatically HD
Unknown watermarkNo confirmed watermark-free claim
Audio sourceThe actual audio file format, without MP3 conversion

If the video will not process or save

First confirm that the link still opens as a public post. Private, removed, or restricted videos can fail independently of your browser. A temporary network or upstream problem can affect several posts at once.

If a result appears but the file will not save, try the browser’s own download controls in the media tab. If the post fails to process, wait before retrying and test a different public video. Repeated submissions can trigger rate limits.

Check permission before reusing the video

A public post is not a license to republish it. Respect the creator’s rights, music licenses, and any relevant platform terms. When TikTok offers an official Save video option enabled by the creator, that is another download route to consider.
