1. Submit a supported public link
Copy a post link from TikTok’s Share menu and paste it into the appropriate tool. The application accepts HTTPS links from TikTok’s supported standard and share domains, rather than arbitrary external URLs.
A valid-looking URL does not guarantee accessible media. The post can be private, removed, restricted, or unsupported.
2. Check the post and its available sources
The server passes the public post link to TikWM, the media resolver used by the original SaveMyTok implementation, to retrieve available source information. Processing time depends on the post and the response from the provider.
The result can include creator information, a title, a thumbnail, video formats, an audio source, or images. Only the sources returned for that post are offered; the service does not create missing formats.
3. Save the selected file in your browser
Choose a returned source. Supported files can be streamed through SaveMyTok using a short-lived download link; other returned sources may open directly at their media host. Your browser performs the final save, so use its Save or Download action when needed.
SaveMyTok does not currently transcode video or convert audio to MP3. It also does not edit finished videos to erase watermarks. Quality and watermark labels should be read as source information.
How photo ZIP packaging works
For multiple returned photos, the browser can assemble a ZIP by fetching the image sources. This happens on the user’s device, not in a stored media library.
Media-host restrictions or network failures can prevent a source from being packaged. Individual image downloads are an alternative when ZIP packaging fails.
Data handling and access limits
The service records coarse operational events to understand outcomes and failures. Temporary IP-based request limiting helps protect the service. Submitted contact messages are stored separately for support.
SaveMyTok does not ask for your TikTok password to retrieve private content. Read the privacy policy for the inspected workflow and use the troubleshooting guide for failures.
