TikTok links and media requests
When you submit a link, SaveMyTok’s server passes the URL and requested tool type to its media resolver. The resolver contacts TikTok or its media sources to inspect the publicly accessible post and return available media information.
The inspected downloader does not insert the pasted TikTok URL into its operational event tables. This is not a promise that every infrastructure provider keeps no request metadata: hosting and source platforms can process network information under their own policies.
Operational events and temporary rate limits
The application can store coarse events such as tool type, success or failure outcome, video or photo post type, mobile/tablet/desktop category, two-letter country code, processing duration, and safe error categories. The current event path writes no visitor identifier and does not store the full submitted URL in these records.
The server uses the request IP address as a temporary in-memory key for resolver and media-request rate limiting. Entries can remain while the server process runs and until cleanup applies. Hosting providers may separately process IP addresses, user-agent information, request paths, short-lived download tokens, and other network metadata.
Where downloaded files are handled
The resolver extracts media information without building a stored video or audio library. Files from supported source domains can be fetched and streamed through SaveMyTok using short-lived signed download links. The streaming path does not save a permanent media copy. Other returned sources may remain direct links.
A photo ZIP is assembled in your browser from the returned image links. SaveMyTok and its hosting provider process requests for streamed files; a source host receives the service’s request. For direct media links and thumbnails, the source host can receive your browser’s network information. Saved files are subject to your device and storage settings.
Contact and support messages
The contact form stores the name, email address, subject, message, and support status in the application’s Supabase database. These details are used to handle your support request and follow up where appropriate.
Only submit the information needed to explain the issue. If you voluntarily include a TikTok link or other personal information in a message, that information becomes part of the support record. Do not send passwords, login cookies, private tokens, or financial information.
Sessions, cookies, and analytics
Administrator authentication uses Supabase session handling and cookies. Public downloading does not require an administrator or public-user login.
The inspected public application does not include Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, advertising scripts, or Vercel Analytics tracking scripts. Coarse application event recording described above is separate from those services. If tracking is introduced later, this policy should be updated to describe it.
Service providers and third-party sites
Vercel hosts the application, Supabase supports database and authentication functions, and TikTok or its media delivery hosts provide the source content. Requests can be processed by those providers according to their service arrangements and privacy policies.
Links to another website and direct media downloads are governed by that website’s behavior. SaveMyTok cannot control a third party’s data collection, source expiry, or access restrictions.
Retention and data requests
The inspected application does not implement an automatic deletion schedule for support tickets and operational event records. They can remain until removed by the service operator or an applicable provider retention process. No fixed retention period is represented here.
Use the contact form to ask about access to, correction of, or deletion of support information associated with your email address. Explain the request without sending unnecessary sensitive information. Whether a request can be fulfilled depends on the records, provider capabilities, and applicable obligations.
Changes and privacy questions
The updated date identifies the most recent version of this policy. The policy should be revised when the application’s data handling changes.
