How to download TikTok audio
Use the link to the public post containing the sound you want. The audio tool asks for an available source associated with that post. A video playing with sound does not necessarily expose a separate audio file.
- Copy the public TikTok post’s share link.
- Paste it above and select Get Audio Options.
- Review the returned source; keep its actual file format.
- Save the file with your browser’s controls and confirm that your player supports it.
Does SaveMyTok convert TikTok videos to MP3?
No. SaveMyTok retrieves available source audio from supported public posts. A TikTok to MP3 converter would create a new file with a different encoding; SaveMyTok does not currently perform that conversion.
A filename ending in .mp3 is not proof that a file contains MP3 audio. Keep the downloaded file’s real extension. If another app requires a particular format, check that app’s compatibility and only use a separate conversion tool when you have permission to process the media.
Sound formats, bitrates, and music limitations
Available sound files vary by post. SaveMyTok does not guarantee a specific codec, bitrate, duration, or quality level. The service also does not isolate vocals, remove instruments, or restore information missing from a compressed source.
A sound can contain music, speech, or a creator’s original recording. Access to a sound does not grant a music license or permission to redistribute it. Licensing and platform restrictions can also prevent a separate source from being exposed.
Save and play the audio on your device
A mobile browser may open a source in a player or a new tab. Use a Save or Download control when the browser offers one; on iPhone, look in Files after downloading. On Android and desktop, check the browser’s chosen Downloads folder.
If the downloaded file does not play, confirm its actual type and try a compatible player. Do not repeatedly rename the extension to make the file appear to be MP3.

Can I download TikTok audio?
The Audio Downloader can offer an audio source when the public post exposes one. The file remains in its actual source format. Audio availability can differ from video availability.
Does SaveMyTok convert TikTok videos to MP3?
No. SaveMyTok currently returns available source audio and does not perform MP3 conversion. Renaming another audio file to .mp3 does not convert its encoding.
What audio format will I receive?
Use the available source and inspect the downloaded file’s actual type. Formats can vary by post. SaveMyTok does not promise MP3, a particular bitrate, or studio-quality audio.
Why is no separate audio source available?
Some posts expose playable video without a separate audio file. Music licensing, access restrictions, and post-specific source differences can also limit audio. Try another public post or use the available video option if you have permission.
