Get the public post link

In TikTok, open the post you want to save and use Share, then Copy link. A direct post link or supported shortened share link is appropriate; a username on its own is not.

The post must be public. SaveMyTok does not receive your TikTok account credentials or use your signed-in session to access restricted posts.

Check the source in your Android browser

Open a current browser such as Chrome and use the Video Downloader. Browser features can vary between versions and manufacturers, so rely on the controls actually shown on your device.

  1. Open the Video Downloader in the browser.
  2. Paste the full public post link into the URL field.
  3. Select Download Video and wait for a result.
  4. Choose a returned format with a suitable source label.
  5. Confirm the download in the browser’s downloads list.

Find your saved video

Your browser’s downloads list is the best place to confirm whether saving finished. A file manager may also show a Downloads folder, but its name and location can vary with device settings.

If the file appears in the browser list but not in a gallery app, open it from the list or the file manager. A gallery may not index every file immediately, and a file’s actual encoding can affect which apps can play it.

Handle a media tab or browser prompt

A source can open in a separate player tab because it is served by another host. Use that browser’s available Download or Save controls. The site cannot force every remote host to present the same save dialog.

If a permission prompt appears, read it before granting access. SaveMyTok does not require access to your TikTok password, contact list, or personal media library to check a public link.

Choose available formats rather than a fixed quality

Read the actual result labels. SaveMyTok does not promise HD, 1080p, MP4, or watermark-free output for every Android download. Changing the device does not improve the quality of an upstream source.

A separate sound file, when available, keeps its source format. Do not rename an audio file to MP3 and expect it to become a converted file.

If nothing saves

Check free storage and your browser’s download status before repeating the request. If the downloader cannot process the post at all, confirm the link is public and try a different post after waiting.

Network restrictions, rate limiting, source expiry, or a removed post can prevent a download. This guide does not assert identical behavior across all Android devices; follow the settings available in your own browser.

Common questions

Will an Android download automatically appear in Gallery?

Not necessarily. Confirm the saved file using your browser’s downloads list or file manager; gallery behavior varies by device and file type.

Can I paste manually?

Yes. Focus the input and use Android’s normal paste action if browser clipboard access is unavailable.
